Professional Biography

Prof. Anthony Egeru is an Associate Professor at Makerere University and Training and Community Development Manager at RUFORUM. He is a distinguished human and applied ecologist with expertise in stochastic environmental change processes and social-ecological systems.

His research focuses on climate change adaptation, indigenous knowledge systems, climate-smart agriculture, rangeland health, and resilience of pastoral and dryland communities across Africa and beyond.

As an Advisory Board Member at MDC, Prof. Egeru provides strategic guidance on agricultural innovation, higher education transformation, climate resilience and sustainable development.
