Professional Biography

Dr. Getachew Shambel Endris is an Associate Professor at Haramaya University and Founder & CEO of Multitier Development & Consultancy (MDC). He is also founder and Incubation Lead of the Agricultural and Rural Innovation Incubation Hub (ARIHUB).

His work focuses on social and innovation policy, resilience programming, innovation systems, livelihoods, and social networks, particularly in pastoral and agro-pastoral communities. He has led high-level research and consultancy projects across Ethiopia and Africa, collaborating with organizations including the EU, CGIAR, FAO, USAID, Mercy Corps, and CISP.

As CEO of MDC, Dr. Getachew provides strategic leadership in advancing inclusive agri-food systems, institutional strengthening, and evidence-based development solutions across Africa.
